Home Health Aide (HHA) Course Instructor

Type of Job: 
Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Planning (12 - 15 hours per week including facilitation and class prep)
Work with the Program Manager to ensure that the course is delivered effectively and meets the needs of program participants.
Review course content and materials including course website, and videos.
Participate in meetings with the Program Manager about course planning.
Participate in the course orientation planning and facilitation twice per year before the fall and spring semesters.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Course Facilitation
Teach the 15 week HHA course twice per week twice per year (August-Dec and Jan-May)
Prepare class plans.
Grade and provide feedback on weekly homework assignments and exams.
Update and publish the website.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Experience teaching or facilitating adult education courses for low literacy students.
Fluent in Spanish and English
Bachelor's degree in nursing, or other healthcare related field.
Availability to teach the 15 week course twice per week twice per year covering the fall and spring semesters. The course is currently taught on Tuesday and Thursday, 6 PM - 8 PM.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management skills

Salary Range: 
The compensation is $22.50/per hour.
