In Home Care provider

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility:

Help support new mothers and their babies by providing emotional, light physical and educational support in Santa Fe. Every new mother deserves the presence of a nonjudgmental, kind care giver who will validate and encourage her in the transition to motherhood. Service periods vary depending on the number of babies the mom births. A 2-3 hour commitment on the volunteers behalf is required per week.

Additional Areas of Responsibility:

Volunteers care for the mother, assist her in meeting her nutritional needs, as well as supporting her choices for nourishing her infant, help her navigate the social services available and help her engage with other like minded new mothers.

Other Information/Requirements:

All volunteers provide three references and participate in an FBI back ground check before attending a Volunteer Training. Additionally, volunteers attend a monthly volunteer meeting to engage with their peer volunteers and continually learn more about how to "mother the mother" and care for the family.
