Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations for all aspects of Abiquiu Visitor Center, Home and Studio and Ghost Ranch property, e.g, scheduling/management of visitor services, retail and interpretive guide staff plus scheduling/ management of facilities, operations and maintenance teams.
Interface with respective Santa Fe departments to ensure alignment with philosophy and approaches ensuring a high quality visitor experience.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Actively participate in outreach activities to build relationships and foster partnerships w/community, e.g., finding ways facility might be used to benefit/support needs of community apolitically and in congruence w/Museum Mission.
Serve as internal advisor to curatorial team, sharing visitor feedback to influence design and implementation of exhibitions/interpretative tours re: the properties. Participate in assessing and determining product mix/merchandising strategy for retail function.

Other Information/Requirements: 

BA/BS strongly preferred, w/emphasis on art history, American/Native American history studies or archaeology a plus; AA plus significant relevant experience may substitute.
Min 3 yrs exp in museum/ historical site interpretation and education, including supervisory responsibilities.
Min 3 yrs managing a customer-facing operation, including retail, hospitality or a visitor service function, with solid exp in training, coaching and employee development.

Must live within ~20 minutes driving range of the properties, e.g., Abiquiu, Espanola or a surrounding community. The properties are not commutable from Santa Fe.
