Hispanic Community Environmental Organizer -- Santa Fe

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsibilities: Work with CVNMEF and SWOP to create a civic engagement plan that will include town halls, earned media, social media, phone calls, letter writing and volunteer trainings. Follow up with Hispanic households that took action to get them further engaged. Recruit and train volunteers. Conduct and run phone banks. Plan volunteer and activist events. Work with coalition partners on events to engage volunteers and activists.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Qualifications: Relate to people from a variety of backgrounds; Must have an enthusiasm for environmental activism; Must possess innovative, creative and strategic experience around volunteer engagement; Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment; Must possess strong communication skills, bilingual skills highly desired; Experience with the Voters Activation Network (VAN) highly desired; Passion for organizing/working as part of a team is a must.

Other Information/Requirements: 

This is a full-time temporary position in Santa Fe reporting to the Program Manager. This position will pay $2,500/month and is a 3 month contract position.
