High School Equivalency Preparation Instructor

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Instructor will be responsible for providing high school equivalency preparation instruction in all subjects: Reading, Writing, Science, Social Studies, and Math. Instruction will be provided either as group lessons or one-on-one. Instructor will also be responsible for providing attendance information to direct supervisor as well as attending one (1) staff meeting every six weeks on a Friday.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The students in this class are high functioning (9th grade level or above in at least one subject). The objective of this class is to get students through the program in an accelerated time frame.

Other Information/Requirements: 

This position is 16 hours per week, 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday plus 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 pm. on a Friday once every six weeks. Experience teaching high school equivalency students is required. Minimum of a bachelor's degree is required. A master's degree in education or related field is preferred.
