High School Equivalency (HSE) Instructor

Type of Job: 
Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Provide direct instruction for all HSE subjects (language arts, science, social studies, math).
Class is Monday - Thursday from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm (must arrive at 8:00 am to prepare for class).
Conduct progression assessment.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Fill out and turn in weekly attendance sheets
Participate in one field trip and one staff meeting every six weeks
Participate in year-end staff training
Participate in graduation ceremony
Attend statewide professional development when available

Other Information/Requirements: 

Ideal candidates will have the following:
Prior GED instruction required
Teaching Certification preferred
Current background clearance check (within past two years)
Instruction in both Language Arts and Math
Ability to incorporate Social Studies and Science topics in reading and writing assignments
Ability to relate to a variety of ages and educational levels
Must have current references
