Heritage Park Restoration Coordinator

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsible for external exhibits in Heritage Park 9 acre outside area where aircraft are displayed. The HPRC assesses displays, develops project activity for reconditioning, speaks about importance to constituent groups, raising financial and in-kind support. HPRC develops plans such as budgets, schedules and work planning, oversees and assists restoration, working at heights above the ground. HPRC works outdoors much of the time. Experience with fundraising and volunteering is desired.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The HPRC will have at least two years experience with restoration and have knowledge of basic construction techniques, demonstrable project management skills, painting and surface preparations and paint application equipment use, and have a passion for creative solutions, a high degree of personal energy, and possess great communications and interpersonal skills. Must be exceptionally well organized and able to multi-task and work in a fast paced museum environment with multiple projects.

The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History: The museum is chartered by congress as “America’s Museum resource for nuclear history and science. In existence for 47 years, the museum presents unique exhibits and program to persons of all ages with emphasis on science education.
