Half-Time Outreach Worker

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Provide street based services and mentoring for runaway, homeless and at-risk youth in the city of Santa Fe, responding to immediate crises for basic needs (food, clothing, emergency shelter, advocacy and referral to services).

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Need appreciation of realities and challenges experienced by homeless and at-risk youth, as well as, knowledge and familiarity with LGBT youth culture and GSA organizations. Will co-facilitate “Street Smarts” Education 2 times/month. May develop and implement groups, events and activities to support LGBT youth.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Must have High School Diploma or GED and one year relevant experience. Will work 20 hours/week (non traditional hours: afternoons, early evenings, weekends, and some holidays, in every kind of weather). Fluency in English and Spanish, preferred. $12.00/hr.
