Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Arc of New Mexico is actively hiring guardianship program works on behalf of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These individuals are served by The Arc of New Mexico because it has been determined by a court of law that they are unable to make “safe or reasonable decisions” concerning their own care. Handle guardianship correspondence, seeking help from Director of Guardianship

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Education and experience:
• Minimum associate’s degree required
• Life or work experience in guardianship
• Understanding of the New Mexico state’s social service system

Organizational skills:
• Organized and efficient
• Able to track with and respond to multiple concurrent processes, teams and needs
• Has strong computer skills

Other Information/Requirements: 

Travel:
• Travel is required city and instate
• Must have reliable transportation
• Maintain a valid New Mexico driver’s license

Caregivers Criminal History Screening Act
• Must pass an annual Caregivers Screening

Guardianship Certification
• Poses or must successfully test and obtain through the Center for guardianship Certification (CGC) within eighteen (18) months of employment with The Arc of NM

Compensation: $31,000
