Grants Manager

Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

SAR’s grants manager is responsible for the grants process including research, writing, and submitting proposals; managing business sponsorships; identifying potential grants and/or sponsorships; tracking grant activities across SAR and adhering to all deadlines. Other duties include cultivating and stewarding grant funders, sponsors, and prospects in collaboration with the SAR team.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Researches funding prospects; develops relationships with prospects / donors; drafts grant proposals; develops budgets; attends funder RFP; observes the implementation of granted and sponsored programs; manages master calendar; prepares final proposals / reports, works in concert with SAR program directors; develops tools to collect to analyze program-related data.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years’ experience in development or related field; ability to work well under multiple deadlines; creative self-starter; strong interpersonal skills; work well as part of a team; knowledge of nonprofit and/or academic fund development preferred.
