Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The grant writer is a part time contract based professional position responsible for securing financial support from Corporate, Community and Family Foundations and Government agencies. Responsibilities include conducting research to develop funding opportunities; writing persuasive proposals; building and maintaining positive relationships with funders.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Manage a portfolio of funder prospects by initiating and implementing strategies to cultivate, solicit and follow-up; develop and foster relationships with local, regional and national donors and cultivate potential donors; write persuasive proposals and complete grant applications to secure funding.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Demonstrated superior communication skills; successful experience in writing grants; familiarity with regional corporate, community and family foundations and other funding sources; strong writing, organizational and networking skills, ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team, experience with Microsoft Office.
