Type of Job: 
Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Grant Writer contributes to the fulfillment of Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque’s (MOW) mission by managing our grant process (including research, application, and follow-up reporting) in support of our LIFE (Low Income Food and Enrichment) Program, as well as other various programs.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals.
• Research foundations and corporations to evaluate prospects for grants.
• Comply with all grant reporting as required by foundation/corporate donors.
• Maintain current records in database, including grant tracking and reporting.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals.
• Strong editing skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge and familiarity with research techniques for fundraising prospect research.
• Experienced and comfortable working in different databases (eTapestry knowledge a plus).
• Two years experience with grant writing.
