Graduate Assistant

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Generation Justice is looking for a graduate student to assist with a community-engaged evaluation project. The goal of this position is to adapt and replicate current evaluation tools and reports in order to track and assess the impact of multi-layered systems: ● Youth leadership, empowerment ● Career success or access, ● Educational success and access ● Building critical analysis ● Narrative Shift skills and analysis.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

● Review GJ internal evaluation
● Provide an analysis of what GJ has and make suggestions to strengthen evaluation and measurement of our impact
● Recommend data collection tools and systems
● Possibly facilitate focus groups of our current members (using findings/questions from previous member focus groups)
● Build a broader narrative and analysis of our work to be used for grant writing, reporting, and outreach

Other Information/Requirements: 

We are looking for:
● Self-starter, motivated
● Excellent interpersonal communication and listening skills
● Ability to work well independently and in groups
● Ability to synthesize information from multiple documents and write up summative reports
● Previous course work and/or training in public health or program evaluation
● Excellent organization, time management skills
