Internship
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

12-week internship will focus on conducting detailed research in the Museum archives, on-line and in the field about the plants and trees in the Museum garden in order to provide content for future tours of the garden.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Research topics will include historical information about plants and their use in New Mexico as well botanical information about each of the plants. Research will also help set the context of O’Keeffe’s love of gardening and use of subject matter in her paintings. Intern will assist in converting research findings into tour content.

Other Information/Requirements: 

The intern must be a college senior or graduate student, preferably with a science background and familiarity with plants and gardening; an interest/background in art/art history very helpful. Should have strong research experience, including awareness of how to use research to inform and inspire the general public.
