Fundraising Coordinator

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

New Mexico Wildlife Federation is seeking a Fundraising Coordinator to join its team and support the development efforts of NMWF. Reporting to the Development Director, the Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for activities that will identify and secure general funding with an emphasis on increasing donor and corporate support by creating high quality relationships, materials, and requests to help raise support for the organization’s general operation.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Develop letters of inquiry or requests to prospective individual and corporate donors
• Prospect Research: create detailed prospect and fundraising strategies for specific projects and initiatives and prepare prospect research reports on individuals and corporations
• Manage donor database, gift entry, and acknowledgement process
• Assist with donor communications and donor events
• Provide basic development support
• Other duties as assigned

Other Information/Requirements: 

•Have, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree and fundraising experience
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Strong organizational abilities and skill working on multiple projects simultaneously
•Excellent attention to detail
•Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically to advance projects and organizational goals
•Demonstrated commitment to conservation and outdoor recreation
