Youth Empowerment Specialist

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The primary responsibility of the Youth Empowerment Specialist (YES) is to develop, assist and maintain the residential component of a Safe Home as it relates to the care and treatment of youth aged 11-17.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Provide supervision and monitor resident behavior
• Provide crisis intervention as need or as directed
• Coordinate, monitor and participate in all activities
• Utilize effective, positive communication skills with peers, staff, families, community, and general public
• Facilitate house meetings and life skill classes

Other Information/Requirements: 

Qualifications:
• Must be 21 years of age
• Minimum of High School or GED with 2 years of experience working with the target -population or relevant experience in a human services field
• Willingness to work flexible hours including some weekends, evenings, and overnight

All shifts available
Pay Rate: $11-$13 DOE+$.50 Overnight differential
