Full Time Victim Advocate

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Provides crisis intervention services by taking crisis calls on a 24-hour hotline, providing advocacy at the hospital and other off-sight visits, and by seeing clients on a walk-in basis. Prioritizing services which effectively address the issue of sexual assault in service to survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones. Provide appropriate and effective crisis intervention services to RCCCNM clients.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Will work with Crisis Services Staff to complete day to day tasks set forth by the Crisis Services Manager. Assist in prepare monthly/quarterly/annual reports, as required to meet funding and agency requirements. Maintain accurate records of each service provided in accordance with agency standards.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services related field or a combination of relevant education, training, and experience totaling 3 years. A minimum of 1 year direct services in social service or related field. Excellent crisis management skills. Access to own vehicle and telephone. Ability to adhere to strict standards of confidentiality. Must obtain Criminal Records Background clearance. Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
