Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Advocate will respond to residents' needs; review and record information in communication log; handle medications base on policy; provide crisis intervention when needed; answer phone, log bed inquiries, and provide resources as needed; conduct facility security checks and curfew, bed and chore checks; open and close the kitchen as necessary; restock shelter supplies; provide transportation; adhere to confidentiality policy; know emergency procedures; and conduct intakes and discharges.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
The Advocate must have excellent computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; effective written and oral communication skills; the ability to relate to women and children experiencing homelessness; and a valid Driver’s License and ability to drive company vehicle. Preference will be given to applicants that have First Aid and CPR Certifications.
