Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central New Mexico being strategically placed to serve youth involved with the Juvenile Justice and Detention system and New Mexico’s large population of military and civilian military employed personnel.

Recruitment and Outreach; Strategic Planning; Documentation; Marketing and Public Relations;

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Recruit volunteers to provide successful, meaningful mentoring relationships to youth who have been incarcerated, in order to empower them to make responsible and productive decisions for their future
• Recruit volunteers and develop partnerships within New Mexico’s large population of military and civilian military employed personnel.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Required: Bachelor’s degree pref; Exp in volunteer recruitment, PR, public speaking; Must be willing to work non-traditional hours and days of the week including some weekend work;Travel between 50-70% of the time.
Preferred:Background in Social Work, CYFD, Department of Corrections and/or other applicable organizations dealing with incarcerated individuals and their families.
• Background in the Military either as Active Duty, Reserves and/or Civilian employee.
