Foundation Special Event Specialist

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsible for managing and supporting signature fundraising and stewardship events for Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation with the purpose of providing critical funding for Presbyterian Healthcare Services’ programs and capital expenditures. These events include the annual Laughter is the Best Medicine Gala, Daffodil Days, Physician Appreciation Dinner, and Donor Appreciation Reception just to name a few. Each is highly complex with attendance of the gala surpassing 1,800+.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsible for the development and monitoring of timelines/promotional schedules, expense budgets, and committees for events.
Work with talent agent to identify, secure and contract with nationally recognized entertainers.
Take an active role in the fundraising aspect of events.
Recruit, train and oversee the work of volunteers to assist in the execution of events.

Initiative, follow through, sound and accurate judgment
Strong attention to detail
Excellent contract negotiation skills
Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products
Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge preferred
Bachelors degree preferred or six years relevant experience in special events.
