Food & Sustainability Outreach Coordinator

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Work with youth in Earth Care’s Youth Allies program and AmeriCorps Cadre to conduct outreach to neighborhoods and low-income residents on sustainable living practices.
Work with community leaders, businesses, nonprofits, government, and experts to develop & document affordable sustainable living practice techniques, educational materials, community resources, and global case studies/best practices

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Conduct research on best practices & contribute material/resources to the joint City/EC Sustainable Santa Fe website and EC’s Sustainable Santa Fe Guide
Recruit and train volunteers to assist with community outreach, education, & organizing efforts
Service Environment:
Ability to work in diverse environments as the position will be working on various projects supervised by City, County and nonprofit entities.

Qualifications:
Strong people skills
Strong verbal and written communication skillsBilingual [Spanish/English] required
Strong research and organizational skills
Ability to work well in a small, collaborative team
Experience working in communities different than one’s own
Project coordination experience
Experience or strong interest in sustainable community development and organizing
Experience or interest in working with youth
Basic web, graphic design, and computer skills
