Food & Beverage Coordinator - YouthWorks Culinary Program

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

- Develop menus and bids for catering proposals.
- Manage YW catering calendar and oversee logistics for other YW Culinary Program special events.
- Demonstrate culinary knowledge and deliver positive, strengths-based experiential education for youth in the manner of an adult mentor on a daily basis.
- Participate in the culinary training and curriculum delivery of YouthWorks DOL YouthBuild Culinary Arts Program trainees and other YW participants as needed.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

- Collaborate as a team on all aspects of Culinary/Catering program operations, with the potential of job-sharing when coordinated due to need.
- Communicate in a professional manner with vendors, YouthWorks staff, students, and partner organizations to achieve the goals of the YouthWorks Culinary Program.
- Assist with tracking catering/culinary invoices and receipt of payments to ensure that program is effectively

Other Information/Requirements: 

- Minimum of 3-5 years of culinary, catering and/or event planning experience.
- Minimum of an Associate degree in culinary arts, hospitality or related industry.
- Flexibility with scheduling. This position will be required to work non-traditional hours.
- ServSafe Manager certification preferred but can be obtained on the job.
- Kitchen Manager certification
- Valid driver’s license, clean motor vehicle record, and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
