Main Areas of Responsibility:
Floor Experience Staff are responsible for greeting and interacting with visitors to Explora. They create warmth and welcome at admissions, facilitate visits according to Explora’s pedagogy, maintain exhibit components, and demonstrate stellar customer service throughout. Floor Experience Staff also work to deliver meaningful programs by facilitating events such as Birthday Parties, Special Events and Camps, Outreaches with educators, and working with visiting school groups.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Ensure exhibit areas are clean and functional.
Facilitate demonstrations, activities, and programs in STEAM for a variety of audiences.
Ensure emergencies are handled properly.
Deal appropriately with visitor comments/concerns.
Coordinate with other groups as needed.
As a condition of employment, employees are required to work weekends and/or after hours, as business needs dictate.
Perform cashier duties at Admissions and Retail desks.
Answer phones; respond to or route calls appropriately.
