First Born® Program Bilingual Home Visitor

Full-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Provide culturally sensitive, in-home and community visitation services to first time families within Santa Fe County. Utilize reflective listening and curriculum to provide child and family growth and development. Assist families in linking with community resources and complete developmental and other screens. Participate in training and supervision. Extensive local travel and some evening and weekend hours required. Activities are documented electronically and in other files.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

 Maintain clinical records (primarily electronic)
 Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA requirements of families
 Demonstrate understanding of different backgrounds, family situations, and values
Represent and advocate for First Born® and other UWSFC programs
 Collaborate and coordinate services with other community agencies

Other Information/Requirements: 

1. High school diploma or GED required
2. College or graduate school degree preferred
3. Experience working with populations served by First Born®, to include children ages 0-3, pregnant mothers and families representing a wide range of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, highly preferred
4. Bilingual (English/Spanish) REQUIRED
