Financial Specialist

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Perform standard bookkeeping and accounting functions for a nonprofit with a budget exceeding 1 million dollars. Prepare for annual audit. Prepare quarterly financial reports for Board of Directors and annual reports for funders. Monitor and submit 990s and IRS pension reports.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Executive Director and Board of Directors Finance Committee.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Associate Degree in Accounting or five (5) years accounting experience required. Non-profit experience preferred. Solid written and verbal communication skills, ability to pay attention to detail and maintain confidentiality, strong interpersonal skills and commitment to working with a diverse staff are essential to successfully carry out the duties of this position. Proficient in Quickbooks 2016 for Nonprofits.
