Financial Literacy Trainer Position

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Providing financial literacy training classes to a diverse population of participants, in a classroom setting, at a variety of locations. Scrupulous and diligent management of data collection activities related to program performance metrics. Administration of a companion savings program accompanying the training initiative. Delivering other training related to financial literacy, entrepreneurship, or business management to WESST clients.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Completing tasks related to WESST’s operations, growth, and strategic planning.

Marketing WESST’s services to the community through speaking engagements, participation at community events, and other activities.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Prior training or teaching experience is required. Applicants may be asked to do a “test teach” as part of the interview process. Familiarity with principles of adult learning and classroom management is required. Excellent knowledge of financial literacy subjects is required. Past experience teaching financial literacy in any educational context is strongly preferred. English/Spanish bilingual proficiency is highly desirable.
