Main Areas of Responsibility:
o Maintain the agency’s accounting practices, procedures and systems, adhering to Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP) standards.
o Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting for federal and state funders, foundations, and Haven House’s board of directors; oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
o Remain up to date on nonprofit audit best practices and state and federal law regarding nonprofit operations.
o Manage the on-boarding process for new employees, maintain up-to-date personnel information and files.
o Complete and submit paperwork to external agencies including worker’s compensation claims, unemployment claims, verification of employment, etc.
o Track employee performance documentation, including training, certification and other grant required information
