Field Organizer

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Public Policy, the Field Organizer will be primarily responsible for coordinating volunteers, members and other constituents to help achieve the ACLU-NM’s strategic objectives. The Field Organizer will also work closely with the organization’s Communications and Legal departments, coalition partners and the ACLU National Office.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Developing and implementing strategies to mobilize New Mexicans across the state to work
toward achieving the ACLU-NM’s strategic objectives.
• Mobilizing and expanding support for state-based civil liberties issues among ACLU-NM members.
• Developing and implementing strategies to expand the ACLU-NM’s membership.
• Conducting and coordinating outreach to ensure strong turn-out at public education events.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Personally committed to advancing the ACLU’s values, mission, goals and programs, with an understanding of the range of civil rights and civil liberties issues and their implications, particularly reproductive rights.
• Bachelor’s degree, three years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
