Fellowship Director

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

NACA-Inspired Schools Network (NISN) is a new network dedicated to training leaders to open schools of excellence and relevance in Native communities. The Fellowship Director is a critical senior member of the NISN team and will be responsible for the planning, execution and evaluation of the NISN Fellowship for school leaders. The NISN's goal is to open 10 new NACA-Inspired Schools in New Mexico by 2017 through the NISN Fellows.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The Fellowship Director will coach and train Fellows on key school leader functions, including understanding historical, political, cultural and socioeconomic context; build community investment; identify and engage critical stakeholders toward outcomes; assist with personnel recruitment, selection, management and evaluation; and navigate the charter application process.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a school setting; experience in a senior level role within the education sector as a school leader highly preferred. Knowledge of national school leader programs and/or charter school start-up processes highly preferred.
