Fellow with New Mexico PIRG

Job Description
Type of Job:
Full-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility:

Every day, whether it’s in Washington, D.C., a state capitol, or a corporate boardroom, someone is making a decision that will affect all of us — it could be about our health, our safety, or our democracy. Special interest groups spend billions of dollars to influence these decisions. Someone needs to speak for the public interest. As a New Mexico PIRG Fellow, that’s what you’ll do.

Additional Areas of Responsibility:

As a fellow with New Mexico PIRG, you won’t just sit behind a desk. You’ll be out in the real world, whether it’s recruiting new groups to join a coalition, speaking in a town hall, organizing a news event or rally, or meeting with an editorial board - you’ll help New Mexico PIRG do what it takes to get results.

Other Information/Requirements:

This is a full-time, paid two-year program, expressly designed to prepare future leaders with New Mexico PIRG. We look for smarts, leadership experience, top-notch written and verbal skills, and an eagerness to learn. We value experience in organizing, including building campus groups.
