External Relations & Development Associate

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The External Relations & Development Associate will advance Explora’s communication and marketing efforts and represent Explora in the community, building relationships with media, donors, and the public. The Associate will build awareness of Explora and its associated brands and develop relationships with external stakeholders, including print, radio, and television partners.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The Associate will build marketing campaigns to increase museum & teen center attendance and program participation; develop effective relationships with community and corporate partners, PR professionals, and media outlets; and represent Explora at a variety of networking events and in the media. The Associate also will assist with development-related events and communication pieces.

Other Information/Requirements: 

A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a related field and work experience performing similar duties; an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted
Proven command of editorial, grammatical, and writing skills and techniques
Familiarity with Google Suite
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and an ability to stay on-brand in message, look, etc. when representing Explora and its associated brands
Experience managing competing priorities and multiple deadlines
