Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Senior Citizens’ Law office is seeking an Executive Director to lead this nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide high quality legal assistance to seniors in central New Mexico in order to uphold their rights, maximize their autonomy and to ensure that they receive the benefits to which they are entitled.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Must have a commitment to providing legal services to low income people; possess five years of management experience involving the supervision of staff, oversight of finances and development of budgets; experience in the strategic management of grants including development, management and accountability; exhibit successful leadership in resource development, including private fundraising and grant writing; display excellent communication skills with bar, bench, and public and private funders.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Have a JD and significant experience practicing law; have a license to practice law in New Mexico or be willing to sit for the New Mexico Bar within one year of assuming the position.
