Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for the execution and fulfillment of the Foundation’s mission and vision with the advice and consent of the Foundation’s Board. The ED has overall strategic and operational responsibility for the Albuquerque Museum Foundation and serves as its principal spokesperson. This includes fundraising, staff supervision, financial management, marketing, property management and community relations.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Serves as community presence to advance the vision and mission of AMF and the Museum.
Provides leadership for all development functions and activities of the AMF in order to increase available resources. Promotes and builds the membership base of AMF. Manages daily AMF activities and personnel. Develops and implements an annual budget. Overseas maintenance of AMF property. Maintains a positive presence in the community and attends functions that will foster the goals of the Foundation.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree preferred
Min. 5 years of senior leadership experience; Nonprofit preferred
Min. 5 years’ successful fund raising record
Experience working with a volunteer Board of Directors
Business and financial management expertise
Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills
Knowledgeable of the Museum’s exhibits and programming
Willingness to work a variable schedule, including weekends and evenings
