Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Executive Director is the senior management position for Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque (MOW), reporting to the Board of Directors. The Executive Director provides overall leadership for strategy, organizational development, financial oversight and fundraising, and implementation and administration of programs and business plans as directed by the Board of Directors.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Strengthen & diversify funding sources
• Project implementation to achieve business goals
• Guide development of the Board
• Ensure completion of strategic goals
• Management of MOW staff, programs & facilities
• Fund-raising & special event activities, donor management & relationship building activities
• Increase program awareness
• Establish positive community relations
• Manage & utilize tracking system for donors & volunteers
• Customer, volunteer, & donor satisfaction

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, with management experience
• Ability to manage several projects & large events
• Experience in managing budgets
• Ability to coach, manage & develop teams
• Marketing, public relations, & fundraising skills
• Communication & analytical skills
• Past success working with a board of directors
• Ability to cultivate existing board & donor relationships
• Ability to develop a long-term vision & strategy & pilot new approaches
