Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Downtown Las Cruces Partnership seeks a dynamic and enthusiastic person to lead the organization during its next critical developmental stage. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong skills in public relations, management, business development, creative problem solving, consensus building and oral and written communication with a career record of achievement. A competitive salary and benefit package, commensurate with experience and background, is available.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Sensitivity to design and historic preservation issues, experience in personnel management, financial budgeting, organization development and planning and the ability to prioritize a demanding and diverse tasks and activities are essential. Education and/or experience in one or more of the following is sought: business/economics, public relations, finance, planning, business and community development, non-profit administration, finance, art or architecture, public administration.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Founded in 2003, DLCP is a state-certified New Mexico MainStreet program and accredited National Main Street Program. The mission of this effective 501(c)3 organization focuses on grassroots revitalization and economic development of the downtown area. Governed by an active and dynamic 17 member board of directors, DLCP has two full-time staff, a $200,000 annual operating budget, and recently completed a forward looking five year strategic plan.
