Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Main Street executive director is responsible for creating a self-sustaining organization that utilizes historic preservation and local business as integral foundations of economic development. The executive director is the principle on-site staff person The executive director is a hands-on position for a person able to act independently.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The executive director must be sensitive to design and preservation issues and must understand the issues confronting small and independent businesses, property owners, public agencies, and community organizations.

Other Information/Requirements: 

The individual hired must possess leadership abilities, superior spoken and written communications, marketing and business skills plus competency in basic organizational, administrative and technical tasks.
