Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Executive Director is a proven leader who is passionate about informal, hands-on learning environments. This individual must be committed to furthering the philosophy of Explora as a unique organization which creates experiences using physical materials to inspire curiosity, thoughtful activity and communication, to stimulate inquiry and sustain lifelong learning.

Other Information/Requirements: 

The successful candidate must demonstrate experience and impact in interactive, informal learning environments, which may include children’s museums, science centers, and/or other innovative, free-choice learning centers. The finalist will possess a minimum of five (5) years of leadership and management experience in an organization in the education and/or not-for-profit sector. A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is required, a graduate degree is preferred.
