Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

• To raise funds to fulfill the mission of Earth Care through youth and community development programming. Primary fundraiser for the organization
• To advocate for Earth Care with community members, community boards, civic groups and elected officials
• Oversee business, financial and legal aspects of the organization.
• Develop, maintain and adhere to budget
• Management of staff
• Report to Board of Directors

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Current Programs:
• Youth Allies for Sustainability Leadership Program for high school youth
• Sustainable Schools working with K-12 school communities
• Food Justice Project projects and partnerships with schools, community-based organizations and local government to address community food security and expand urban agriculture
• Sustainable Santa Fe Guide annual publication highlighting projects, people and stories of sustainable community

Other Information/Requirements: 

7+ years of professional experience required in nonprofit leadership and management with a track record of high quality performance in a collaborative environment
Proven track record for fundraising for non profits with budgets of greater than $600,000.
Open and inclusive management style
Demonstrated commitment to addressing environmental and social justice issues and a belief in young people’s ability to lead
