Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Center for International Studies - Albuquerque International Association (CFIS-AIA) is seeking to hire an Executive Director. CFIS-AIA is a 501 c 3 non-profit educational and cultural institution based in Albuquerque, NM since 2003. AIA has approximately 400 members and runs a variety of programs: lecture series which bring in speakers from around the world to discuss a wide range of questions, mostly internationally focused; travel abroad; a book club, a foreign club and a cuisine club.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Position engages in outreach to Albuquerque schools and to the public at large. Initially it will be half time position with the annual salary of $30,000. In 2022, depending on pandemic completion, the Board will consider extending the job to full time position. The position will have overall responsibility for the implementation of AIA mission and its strategic plan, specifically for management of the organization, fund-raising, membership maintenance and development, and marketing.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Qualifications include business skills and experience in non-profit management, fund-raising, marketing; demonstrated ability in written and oral communications, and a strong interest in international affairs. Deadline is July 15. Applications will be reviewed as received and interviews conducted NLT July - August. The job will tentatively start in July 2021.
