Main Areas of Responsibility: 

NMCF seeks a dynamic, innovative, part time (20 hours/week) Executive Director with solid nonprofit business knowledge to lead the board and the organization towards success in funding grants to benefit the children of New Mexico. Responsible for overseeing administration, programs and strategic plan; marketing, community outreach.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Develop and implement strategies to raise the visibility and finances of the Foundation across the State of New Mexico.
• Assist the donor development committee in its fund-raising efforts.
• Maintain communication with Foundation grantees and potential grantees
• Coordinate and maintain community outreach efforts.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree
• Five or more years senior nonprofit management experience
• Experience and skill in working with a Board of Directors
• High level strategic thinking and planning. Ability to envision and convey the organization’s strategic future to the staff, board, volunteers and donors.
• Ability to effectively communicate the organization’s mission to donors, volunteers and the overall community.
• A history of successfully generating new revenue streams and improving financial results.
