Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Executive Director is responsible for coordination of revitalization activities utilizing various strategies including the Main Street Four-Point Approach. Must be able to build support for DLCP goals; identify, attract and coalesce new business, financial and moral support; possess exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication, and problem solving skills; build consensus & shared purpose with individuals, governmental and non-governmental staff, departments and agencies.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
The Director must be entrepreneurial, energetic, well organized, and able to work well both with others and independently while possessing the leadership quality of humility blended with self confidence and determination. A track record of verifiable success in downtown revitalization is highly desirable. Excellent verbal, written, computer and interpersonal skills are essential.
