Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Jewish Federation of New Mexico seeks an executive director (ED) with community building, fundraising, strategic thinking and management skills to lead a statewide community of roughly 24,000 Jewish people. The ED oversees all operations, including governance, personnel, fundraising, programming, relationships with various NM Jewish institutions, and with the broader community, civic leadership, and management of activities and partnerships in Israel.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The ED is the recognized professional leader and spokesperson for the Federation and New Mexico’s Jewish community. S/he will cultivate Jewish community by working with Federation’s dedicated corps of volunteers to fill the lay leadership pipeline while fostering and maintaining strong collaborative partnerships with the state’s many Jewish institutions. The ED will work with the Board and other key community stakeholders to create a supportive, energized environment.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Preferred Qualifications:
- Good communication and time management skills, strong leadership skills, experience in fundraising, strategic planning expertise, and knowledge of the Jewish community and Federation system.
Requirements:
- 5 years for-profit or nonprofit management experience
- Bachelor's degree minimum; master's or equivalent preferred
