Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Executive Director operates within the organization's policies set by the governing board of directors to support, educate and advocate for families with a mental illness in the State of New Mexico. The ED secures and maintains the organization's financial integrity and programming to meet the strategic plan, mission and vision of the organization.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Looking for documented writing and dynamic public speaking skills, superior interpersonal skills, applied knowledge of organizing / managing special events, applied knowledge of individual, corporate, government and foundation development strategies, ability to work collaboratively with community partners, corporations, foundations, boards, major donors and other volunteers.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline preferred.
Outstanding and documented non-profit sector experience totaling at least 3 years
Minimum one-year fundraising, grant management and procurement experience.
Minimum one-year networking experience with foundations, corporations, government and other funding sources.
Documented supervisory and leadership experience with paid and volunteer members.
Documented financial management experience.
