Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Provides leadership/management to support vision/mission. Works with Board to establish/implement strategic goals; develops effective partnerships/strategic alliances; develops/ensures quality of services/programs; ensures cost-effective management of operations; develops resources to maintain operations/activities; provides overall direction for communications, public information, public policy, and outreach efforts; responsible for managing annual operating budget and staff.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Key Primary Functions/Accountability:
• Provides leadership and vision for the implementation of the NMCNE mission and strategic goals, in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
• Develops a high profile for the NMCNE and is a visible advocate for enhancing the nursing profession.
• Initiates and encourages collaboration and cooperation among other organizations, leaders and stakeholders.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing, Public Administration, Business, or Healthcare Administration. Demonstrated management experience with the ability to manage complex projects, work independently and make decisions that require a high degree of judgement. Internship in administration will be considered for management experience. Preferred experience with not-for-profit environments and working with a Board of Directors.
