Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

(1) Ensure smooth functioning of SFAFS, including executive oversight of our 4 programs: Science Fairs; K-14 Math and Science Tutoring; Science Cafés; Professional Enrichment for Teachers. (2) Provide effective communications with SFAFS volunteers; (3) Provide outreach to teachers, schools, community, funding sources, like-minded organizations. See www.sfafs.org for more information.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

(1) With the Board of Directors and the CFO, provide financial stewardship for SFAFS, and play a lead role in fund-raising and financial reporting. (2) Help recruit new volunteers. (3) Work effectively with the directors of the 4 programs mentioned above.

Other Information/Requirements: 

We seek a self-starter committed to improving K-14 math and science education in the Santa Fe community. Good organizational, record-keeping, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently within a diverse community (including peers, teachers, school administrators and students), are essential. Previous teaching or research experience in a STEM-based discipline is highly desired.
