Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Domestic Violence Program in Gallup, NM is seeking an energetic and resourceful individual to serve as Executive Director. The E.D. is the Chief Executive Officer; appointed by and reporting to the Board of Directors: Responsible for leadership and direction, fund development, grant writing, contract management, program management and development, compliance and strategic planning.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Also responsible for community outreach and will be expected to live, work and become an active member of the community. The individual will be working with diverse individuals from a large geographical area and from backgrounds ranging from business and tribal leaders to those in crisis situations and living in poverty.

Other Information/Requirements: 

BA/BS Human Services related field (MA preferred); 5 yrs exp in Social Services setting; 3 yrs mgmt exp. Bilingual Spanish/ Navajo desired. Proven track record leading people & managing programs. Skilled at grant writing & contract management. Exp & interest with culturally diverse & high risk populations (preferably DV). Must be willing to live, work & be active part of the community & effectively liaison with diverse individuals including business & tribal leaders & those living in poverty or crisis situations.
