Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The New Mexico Out-of-School Time Network (NMOST) Executive Director is responsible for the network’s achievement of its mission and financial objectives. As the sole NMOST staff member at time of hire, the Executive Director has responsibility to support the organization in all ongoing activities, while contributing to the development and implementation of new initiatives and exploring further avenues for impact.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

A successful candidate will possess a proven track record and skills necessary to oversee and implement the network’s administration, programs, and strategic plan. Ideally, they will have an extensive knowledge of statewide expanded learning systems and its youth development partners; proven ability for sustainable fund development; talent for strategic visionary thinking through a disciplined, analytic lens; and reputation as collaborator-extraordinaire to complement his/her sense of humor and compassion.

Other Information/Requirements: 

NMOST brings together policymakers, educators, childcare providers, youth development workers, and other stakeholders interested in ensuring positive youth development opportunities and outcomes through afterschool programs.

As of fall 2016, NMOST will be under new fiscal sponsorship with Explora Science Center & Children’s Museum of Albuquerque. Explora’s established statewide network and programmatic expertise provide a quality backbone for NMOST’s growth.
