Events Director

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

New Mexico BioPark Society (NMBPS), the non-profit support organization for the ABQ BioPark Zoo, Aquarium, Botanic Garden and Tingley Beach, is seeking a full-time creative, hands-on, highly organized, self-motivated professional to lead and coordinate the creation, planning, promotion and management of special events including Run for the Zoo and River of Lights.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Candidates must have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, strong logistics management, be detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and change gears quickly, and be able to think on their feet. Must be able to both delegate and work cooperatively with others. Some evening and weekend work will be required.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree or comparable years of related experience. Three to five years of increasingly responsible event coordination. Promotions and marketing experience a plus.
