Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

A teaching position to assist Refugee School Program to deliver LFSRM’s academic school programs for refugee youth. The candidate will work directly with refugee youth for academic tutoring, social and well-being guidance, and parent engagement events for refugee students ages 5-18 and their families.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Understands, implements, & follows the Refugee School Impact Program requirements under the supervision & direction of Instructors & Education Coordinator.
Provide academic assistance under the supervision of Instructors for LFSRM school based programs & summer program.
Coordinates w/ teachers in schools re: individual student needs & academic goals.
Works w/ identified students on individual education plans to ensure academic support.
Assists w/ monitoring program activity.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Two years of ESL teaching experience, preferably cross-cultural. Functional fluency in one or more foreign languages preferred. Ability to self-start and work well in a team setting. Proven team-builder.

LFSRM is seeking a motivated, creative individual to begin instruction July 15 for the Newcomer Academy summer school for mid/high school age refugee students. The candidate will ideally continue working w/ the students in the after school program w/ the onset of the APS school year.
