Main Areas of Responsibility:
The RCBR represents ACLU-NM in the southern region of the state on general civil rights matters, including advancing LGBT rights, and works in conjunction with ACLU state affiliates, National ACLU and immigrant and border rights advocates to address civil and human rights violations that stem from border enforcement policies.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Implement Justice Advocates Academies, including conducting one-on-ones for follow-up actions, identifying and recruiting community leaders, coordinating add-on modules, coordinating meeting logistics, and assisting in curriculum modifications and delivery of the sessions, conduct outreach and implementation of Know Your Rights trainings and Rights Defender trainings in communities throughout Southern New Mexico in English and Spanish.
